We discussed the Composition, Reasons, Advantages and Disadvantages of Liquid Trees in this Blog.

What is a liquid tree?

Serbia was the 1st on the list countries of worst air quality countries. This invention is tested in Serbia to see its results, and it has proven to be more efficient than natural trees in order to clean the air from air pollutants.

Liquid Tree is more efficient than trees in many ways. Firstly there is no exception of type and efficiency of soil in the installation of the liquid tree, as it can be installed anywhere such as outside a mall, in the marketplace in a park or anywhere.

Secondly, it works at the 10 to 50% more efficiency than the natural trees. It means that it can provide performance of more than one tree while installed in a suitable and compact area.

Despite of many benefits of Liquid trees, there are many disadvantages too. These include replacement of natural trees with liquid trees, expensiveness, it cannot recover naturally like natural trees and many other disadvantages that should be considered while production and usage of Liquid trees. We will discuss Composition, Advantages and Disadvantages of Liquid trees.

Composition of a Liquid Tree:

Liquid tree is made up of materials resembling sticky liquid oozing out of the trees. This difference is that, the sticky liquid in the trees is naturally but the material of Liquid trees is made synthetically for improved efficiency. A liquid tree uses tree parts that work together to form a system that cleans the air. It includes three main components:

Water Tank:

A liquid Tree contains a 600-litre water tank. This is the largest part of liquid tree. This tank contains Liquid microalgae in it. This microalgae helps in binding carbon dioxide by using Photosynthesis and converts this CO2 in oxygen and add it into the air. This reaction is only in the presence of sunlight because photosynthesis only exists in sunlight.

Microalgae:

Microalgae is a useful material that runs photosynthesis in the presence of sunlight into the water tank. It repeats this process and takes carbon dioxide and water in it, and then converts it into the Oxygen and sends it back to the air in clean form. This helps in cleaning of air more efficiently than the natural systems. As we know that Liquid Tree cleans the air 10 to 50% more efficiency than traditional or natural trees.

Photo-bioreactor:

Liquid tree along with the microalgae and water tank, collectively works as a photo-bioreactor. It is a type of bioreactor that works only in the presence of sunlight and perform its task in day time only. The liquid tree is efficient because it is a continuous running bioreactor and cleans the air rapidly.

You can see a liquid tree in the picture below.

Advantages and Disadvantages of Liquid Trees

Reasons Behind Liquid Tree Invention:

Following are the main reasons behind liquid tree invention:

1.Deforestation:

As we know that, world population is exceeding Earth’s carrying capacity. Forest resources are consumed with an exponential rate for the need of wood, medicines, urbanization and many other reasons. This deforestation is polluting our natural environment, air composition, land degradation and much more. This invention (liquid tree) will help us to maintain atmospheric composition to be useful for living organisms on earth without occupying much space and disturbing urbanization.

2.Air Pollution:

All the developed and developing countries are creating a lot of air pollution because of industrialization and other harmful practices such as fossil fuel burning, deforestation and construction activities. Many people are dying because of respiratory disorders such as asthma, pneumonia, tuberculosis etc. Every country do not have sufficient land for reforestation. So, this liquid tree invention can be installed anywhere to help in reduction of air pollution and preventing respiratory diseases.

3.Increased Efficiency:

Scientists study natural processes and environment’s natural rehabilitation with detail. Then they try to invent or discover something more fast and efficient than the natural systems. As we know that, Liquid tree is much efficient than the normal trees, because its only priority and function is to maintain air quality index to make environmental conditions better for living.

4. Utilization in Urban Areas:

As we know that urban areas are more polluted than rural areas, because there are less trees and more buildings. Air pollution is a big problem in big cities of the world. By liquid trees even smallest places can be utilized for installation that can clean all the toxic materials that and wandering into the air. This will help us to clean the air of urban areas in an efficient way without any destruction.

Many other reasons can be justified for this invention because it is a great helper in today’s world conditions. This blog contains Composition, advantages and disadvantages of Liquid Trees.

Natural Tree Vs Liquid Tree:

Tree:

  • Tree is a natural system that cleans the air and environment, maintain the ecosystem, provide us valuable resources, food etc.
  • We can plant a tree only where there is fertile soil and all available nutrients required for a tree growth.
  • Trees shows variations in their leave with passing seasons and recovers on its own through wider root system.
  • Planting a tree does not create any type of pollution, but is beneficial for environment in everyway.
  • Planting a tree is an easy task and is way more cheap and useful as compared to liquid trees.
  • Trees need proper soil and environment to nourish, so these are difficult to plant and conserve natural trees in urban areas.

Liquid Tree:

  • Liquid Tree means a device consisting of a Bioreactor that use photosynthesis process to remove air pollutants from the air in Urban Areas.
  • We can install liquid trees anywhere, even in compact spaces. The only requirement is sunlight for photosynthesis.
  • Liquid Trees cannot recover naturally if there is any problem with their system, because it is just a machine.
  • The production of liquid trees creates Green House Gases (GHG) pollution and then it is used as a purifier for air.
  • It is very expensive to install and less useful as compared to a traditional trees.
  • Liquid trees are designed to install in compact areas where trees cannot be planted, so that Air quality can be maintained.

Advantages of Liquid Tree:

Following are some advantages of a Liquid tree:

Liquid tree is much more efficient than a natural tree (10 to 50%).

Liquid Trees are very much compact than any natural tree.

We can install it anywhere and there is no exception for its installation.

They provide promising results in maintaining the Air quality standard.

It is best for the countries with relatively less surface area for forests.

Liquid tree is undoubtedly an amazing invention and a great alternative if the trees. We should promote liquid trees and work for keeping the air quality better for better living.

Disadvantages of Liquid Trees:

Following are few disadvantages of Liquid Trees:

Liquid trees are way more expensive than natural trees.

Liquid Tree requires high skilled people for maintaining the whole system.

It cannot provide all the benefits of a natural tree with seasonal variations.

This has no power to recover with time as a natural tree.

It does not provide many valuable resources like the Natural Tree.

It is not a replacement of Urban Trees and Parks, as they are still need of Parks and Trees in Cities.

The production of these trees such as use of steel, glass and solar module also adds into the GHG pollution in the world.

These are few disadvantages of Liquid trees.

Conclusion:

Liquid Trees are devices to purify the air in urban areas where there are no trees or no trees can be installed due to development. Trees need a natural environment including fertile soil, nutrients and space to be planted. The cities where there is less space for the trees, Liquid tree is an effective to fight with the air quality problems. We can install liquid trees in urban areas very easily and the only thing it needs is sunlight. It takes up all the CO2, particulate matter and other toxic gases from the air and cleans the air completely.

This has been proven as an efficient way to deal with air pollution. But as nothing is perfect, so liquid tree also have some bad impacts on our environment. As it creates GHG emissions and other pollutions in its production, it is way too expensive, it cannot replace urban parks and trees etc. While installing the liquid trees, we should keep its drawbacks into our minds and try to prevent them as much as we can. We discussed the Tree vs liquid tree, composition, Advantages and Disadvantages.
